One of my longtime clients of many years left me this sweet handwritten note after their appointment. It says, “Thanks Eduardo! ❤️ my hair!! … I tried to think of a joke like the one you heard from the shoeshine guy about Lion Street. I asked my ‘assistant,’ but the results were awful! See you soon.”

I couldn’t help but smile. Not only do I love it when my clients feel amazing about their hair, but I also treasure the personal moments we share — from stories to inside jokes (like that unforgettable one from the shoeshine guy on Lyon Street 🦁).

Since I liked that joke so much, I’ll share it with you here — and I hope you enjoy it too:
