In 2018, I was invited by Matteo Susini to Italy to help create the NEON Collection—a bold, editorial series celebrating precision shape, luminous color, and architecture in hair. Years later, this shoot still stands out in my career for one reason: it captures why I love hair—craft, collaboration, and pure creative joy.

What We BuiltThink graphic silhouettes and glass-shine finishes with neon-charged tones—violet, cobalt, and electric yellow—balanced by soft, wearable textures. We layered:

• Precision cutting for sculptural lines that photograph beautifully from every angle

• Color blocking + seamless blending to make high-chroma shades read luxe, not loud

• Editorial finishing (sleek vs. feathered movement) to shape the story in-camera

Why It MattersNEON reminds me that great hair lives where technique meets teamwork. Matteo’s direction was surgical and inspiring; the Loft Parrucchieri crew brought warmth, speed, and relentless attention to detail. I left Italy with new friends—and a deeper respect for Italian hairdressing’s craft tradition.
